Lil Wayne Announces 41 More Dates On 'I Am Still Music Tour'

Rap Daily: Rapper Lil Wayne will extend his "I Am Still Music Tour"  throughout  America with a whopping 41 new dates added for this Summer.

The rapper will headline a number of concerts  starting in Hartford, Connecticut on July 13th at the Comcast Theater.

Lil Wayne will be joined by Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Lloyd and Far East Movement on the second leg of the tour, which will wind down September 11th at the Woodlands Amphiteatre.

Tickets in select markets will go on sale through Live Nation.com starting the weekend of May 20th.

50 Cent Clarifies Headphone Deal With Sleek

Rap Daily: Representatives for the company that markets 50 Cent's Sleek line of headphones have come forward to clarify reports that the rapper had pulled the plug on his new line of headphones.


Sleek Audio issued a press release on Friday, announcing that 50 Cent had terminated an agreement between Sleek, G-Unit and TV Goods.

But shortly after the termination, 50 and his affiliate company SMS Audio entered into a new agreement to produce and distribute an infomercial promoting a new, over-the-ear product that 50 Cent is backing.

While 50 may have been his deal between Sleek and TVGoods on ice, the rapper is still working with the company to bring another new product to market.

According to reps for both companies, 50 Cent's termination of Sleek's contract with TVGoods will allow the new product 50 Cent is developing to reach the market faster.

Reps for TVGoods said that 50 Cent still owns 7.5 million shares of TVGoods, which he purchased for $750,000.

Kanye's $1 Million Performance Fee Turned Down

Rap Daily: Drake made $250,000 for one performance at a New York bar mitzvah, after organizers turned down a demand for $1 million to appear from Kanye West.

Drake made $250,000 performing at a private party after organisers turned down Kanye West's $1 million demand.

The 24-year-old rapper - who collected the huge fee for appearing at a New York bar mitzvah - was the second choice of entertainment for Jeff Zucker, former chief executive of Us broadcaster NBC, as he hosted the event at the city's Four Seasons Hotel for his son Andrew on Saturday.

According to the New York Post newspaper, Kanye had demanded $1 million for a one-off performance.

While Mr. Zucker reportedly toyed with the idea of paying up to $800,000 for  Kanye, he eventually settled with Drake, who was considerably cheaper.

While he may have asked for a huge sum to perform at the Zuckers' party, it would appear Kanye is prepared to waive his costs on other occasions.

Earlier this year, the 33-year-old rapper performed a 30-minute set at the 16th birthday party of artist George Condo's daughter at New York's Standard Hotel free of charge.

Also, at the end of last year, Kanye gave an impromptu concert to the passengers of a flight from Minneapolis to New York, serenading them with renditions of his tracks 'The Good Life' and 'Gold Digger'.

A passenger on the flight described the experience, saying: "He was like, 'Yo, this your n***a, Kanye. He couldn't decide if he wanted to do 'The Good Life' or 'Gold Digger,' so he was like, 'I'll just do a little bit of both.' It was awesome - but I still have no idea how he got into the cockpit."

50 CENT LOSES MEGA BUSINESS DEAL SLEEK BY 50 IS NO MORE

 Rap Daily:G-Unit star 50 Cent has reportedly had his Sleek By 50 headphones venture scrapped as Sleek Audio is now announcing their disassociation from the rap star.
NO explanation for their dismantled deal has yet been given.
You may remember our brief run-in with 50 Cent back at CES, where he announced a partnership with Sleek Audio for Sleek by 50, a pair of "wireless hybrid" headphones with built-in Kleer technology. Today the company revealed that it has terminated its agreement with G-Unit Brands, 50's licensing company, and that it will be "re-evaluating our Wireless Hybrid over-the-ear headphones at a later date." There's no word on why the collboration went awry, and the company only indicates that it has decided to focus on its in-ear offerings instead. Of course, we've got way more than 21 questions about what made the relationship go sour, but hate it or love it, Sleek by 50 is no more.

Lil Boosie's Home To Be Auctioned Off

 Rap Daily: While Boosie sits in jail awaiting the word on his murder charges, the state selling his home after failing to meet payments.

Lil Boosie has been in jail since June 2010 after being formally charged for a murder case. While he awaits his trial, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is planning on selling his home after he failed to pay a writ.

Boosie, whose real name is Torence I. Hatch, is up against Flagstar Bank in the auction of his Louisiana residence. According to a police filing, Boosie failed to pay a $375,270.74 writ that was imposed on the plot on January 20, 2011.

The residence, located on Centurion Place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, will be put up for auction on June 29, 2011, though no minimum bid has been set as the home is waiting appraisal. 

The "Done It All"  rapper is currently serving time in prison in anticipation of a murder trial. He was accused of paying for a man named Terry Boyd to be killed, and faces the death penalty.

Rap Daily: A variety of rappers offered encouraging words for single mothers and mothers in general, in observance of today's Mother's Day holiday.

Rappers like Slim Thug,Ghostface Killah, E-40, Heavy D, Paul Wall, Jermaine Dupri, LL Cool J, Fat Joe, Waka, Flocka, Wale, Soulja Boy and others wished their own mothers, or mother's in general, a happy holiday.

"Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms, Grandma's, single dads and everyone 1 that does their part in raising a child," New York's Power 105.1's DJ Envy tweeted.

Hardcore gangster rapper Tony Yayo sent out a message to his female fans who are celebrating the day.

"Happy mothers day to all the mothers who go hard for they kids, happy mothers day," Tony Yayo tweeted.

"My Mom used to say that everyday was Mother's Day, I shouldn't wait for one day per year to tell her I love her and Happy Mothers Day," said Tek of veteran Hip-Hop group Smif-N-Wessun.

"If you love them, don't wait to tell them, you never know how much time is left," Tek continued. "Give them the dozen while they can still smell the roses."

Rappers Help Raise $5 Million For Japanese Tsunami Victims

Rap Daily: Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are among the artists who helped raise over $5 million dollars to benefit the victims of an earthquake/tsunami, that devastated Japan.

The Songs for Japan CD was released digitally on March 25th and physically, on April 4th.

Since then, Songs for Japan has sold over 500,000 copies, generating $5 million in revenue.

The entire $5 million was sent to The Japanese Red Cross Society for victims on behalf of the artists on the CD, who waived their royalties and proceeds for the project.

In addition to Eminem, Cee Lo, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, artists like The Black Eyed Peas, U2, Bob Dylan, Sade, Bruno Mars, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber and Elton John contributed tracks to the Songs for Japan album.

Capone Asks 50 Cent To Stay Out Of Prodigy Beef

Rap Daily: Rapper Capone has asked 50 Cent to steer clear of his growing beef with Mobb Deep, who are still close associates of the G-Unit frontman.

Capone has been lashing out at Prodigy on the Internet, over allegations made in P's new book, "My Infamous Life: The Story of Mobb Deep's Prodigy."

In the book, Prodigy accuses Capone of veteran rap group Capone-N-Noreaga, of going to court and testifying against Havoc's brother, Killer Black.

Prodigy's comments and his refusal to back down from the allegations, have sent Capone on a mission to clear his name.

"50, I am asking you stay of this please, my ni**a. I got love for you, you're from Queens, you're a Queens ni**a like me, but just this is not a situation which - at the end of the day, it's hammer time."

The beef seems to be growing as well, in intensity. Former associate and Bars-N-Hooks member Mike Delorean also chastised Prodigy for calling out Capone in his tell-all book.

Mike was also mad that Prodigy talked about him in a few chapters in the book, which included comments about his mother, and accusations that Bars-N-Hooks robbed Havoc.

"P you was a wankster, you talking about things you don't even know. you wildin' talking about ni**as mothers. You talkin' about ma dukes and she's resting in peace. Man, the goons are on your head," Mike Delorean said.

Capone offered an explanation as to why he ended up on the stand, testifying against Killer Black.

"I got caught in a situation, and I gave a false statement [to police]. I lied. Come to find out, the motherfu**ing statement came back, they tried to use me as a witness. But I lied. I wasn't Killer's co-defendant, I wasn't there when the crime happened, I aint speak to him after. But I didn't put nothing in there to incriminate nobody. The n***a you say I snitched on was running in the streets with me. Get your facts right."

Mobb Deep Announces First Performance In Over Three Years

Rap Daily: Legendary Hip-Hop group Mobb Deep will give their first performance in over three-years next week, during a highly anticipated show next week at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square.

Mobb Deep's Havoc and Prodigy, who was released from prison in early March, after a three-year bid for a gun charge, will headline the show, which will also feature performances by Ghostface Killah and Raekwon the Chef, The Money Making Jam Boys and DJ Stretch Armstrong.

Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg and ego trip's Sacha Jenkins will host the event, which is being produced by ego trip and concert promotion/marketing company LiveNDirect.

Mobb Deep's first performance in over three years, will take place on Thursday, May 12th.
