Dorrough Planning Documentary Exposing DEA Drug Raid In Feb.

Rap Daily: On February 8th, at approximately 7:30 AM, the DEA executed a search warrant that accused platinum recording artist Dorrough Music of distributing drugs.

The rapper, who said he is falsely accused of a crime that he has never committed, is responding with an untitled documentary and new song directed at the “Hip-Hop Police."

“They kicked in the door, they came in here, I was in the bedroom the whole time,” Dorrough explained in the documentary. “They laid us on the ground and it was 10 DEA agents and five went upstairs. And while they were searching us they went through all my stuff and moved stuff around while we were downstairs”

Dorrough even has documents that claims confidential informants and undercover officers had been planning the raid for over a year.

“I just remember someone kicking in the door, I hear a lot of commotion and a lot of noise. I first thought I was getting robbed,” he explained. “So I jumped up and when I came to see what was going on, by the time I got to the door of my room, I already had guns pointed at my face.”

“What if my daughter was there?” he recalled. “All these thoughts going on in my head.  I wouldn’t even say it was professional the way they did it, I think they was out of line the way they did it. My girl is crying, scared and it’s more like they violated me.”

Dorrough explained in the documentary that a few months prior to the break in, he received a charge for accidentally carrying a concealed weapon in his backpack at an airport and lost his license to carry a firearm. 

Had he reached for his gun when the DEA raided his home, Dorrough believes he would have been shot and killed.

Dorrough doesn’t plan to let the incident stop his career though as he has multiple releases on the horizon and a single that talks about the DEA raid.

“I just dropped the Gangsta Grillz Code Red. The response has been crazy to where I am doing another commercial release in June and another mixtape with DJ Drama. One of the songs I want to put on there really portrays the way everything happen and it really conveys how I felt.”

THE GAME DETAINED IN CANADA

Fresh from Australia, Game was traveling to Canada to perform at several shows on Wednesday, April 20. After waiting in customs for three hours, he was denied entry. “Customs officials just denied me entry into Canada. I’m sorry 2 ALL my fans but I was mislead by promoters & assured I would be able 2 enter,” he tweeted.But things soon went from bad to worse. “This just in: I’m being detained in Canada for 14 days until they process my inadmissability then I’ll have a hearing heard by a judge,” he added. “At that point the judge will decide to either deport me or give me a sentence for violating Canada’s immigrant entry laws.”
Game expressed his unhappiness with the unexpected circumstances. “F%cked up situation !!! But at least they let me call home, & tweet before they lock a n!gga up !!! Gotta turn in my property, y’all be kool,” he wrote. “Gotta give up my phone & property. This some straight bullshit ! Flew all the way from LA to be denied and detained ?!?! WTF.”

Krayzie Bone Officially Leaves Bone Thugs After 20 Years

Rap Daily:After 20 years as a member of veteran Cleveland, Ohio Hip-Hop act Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Krayzie Bone has announced he is leaving the group to pursue a solo career and other projects. 

The rapper made the official announcement via a YouTube clip that was released to the Internet early this morning (April 14th). 

"I will no longer be a part of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony," Krayzie Bone revealed. "Due to uncontrollable circumstances, it's basically time for me to move on and just start embarking on different endeavors I've already had planned in my life. Just trying to go to a whole other level in the music game, I am trying to grow and become greater at what I do." 

According to Krayzie Bone, he will focus on his label, The Life Entertainment, and develope new artists through a recently announced, upcoming project titled Cleveland is the City Vol. 1. 

"It's been a great 20 year run with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, I have nothing to complain about," Krayzie Bone said. "If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be right now, so its much love, for what Bone Thugs-n-Harmony has done for me. But its that time in my life to where I finally closed this chapter and opened up a new chapter in my life to start exploring these options out here."

The news of Krayzie's departure from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony comes on the heels of an explosive, two-part interview with AllHipHop.com, in which the rapper aired out all of his grievances with the group over the past 20 years. 

Group member Bizzy Bone also responded in an extremely revealing two-part interviewthat details Bone's history, his relationship with the group and why he initially  left one of the best-selling acts in Hip-Hop history. 

During the course of his career, Krayzie Bone and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony have collaborated with a number of artists, including Tupac Shakur, Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, Big Pun, Mariah Carey, E-40, Kurupt and Chamillionaire, who took home a Grammy in 2007 with Krayzie Bone for the hit single "Ridin'." 

As for Krayzie Bone, he thanked fans for their years of support. 

"I thank all the fans for supporting me with Bone for over 20 years and I hope that y'all will continue to support me on these future endeavors that I embark on. It aint nothing but love, I love y'all, thanks for everything you've done."

FBI Says Eazy-E, Tupac Victims of Jewish Defense League Extortion Attempts

Rap Daily: New documents released by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) confirm longtime allegations that the Jewish Defense League (JDL) attempted to extort rappers Eazy-E and Tupac Shakur. 

The FBI released the documents in response to various Freedom of Information requests for the documents, which until this point had been unreleased. 

The new documents claim that members associated with the JDL, which has been labeled a right-wing hate organization, targeted Eazy-E, Tupac Shakur and others with an unsophisticated scheme to dupe the rappers out of cash. 

According to the FBI documents, unnamed members of the group would call the rappers and make death threats. 

"Subjects then intercede by contacting the victims and offering protection for a fee," the notes read. "The victim and their family are taken to a 'safe haven,' usually a private estate, and are protected by gun-toting body guards associated with the Jewish Defense League."

Former Ruthless Records executive Jerry Heller implied that Eazy-E had respect for JDL in his autobiography, "Ruthless."

According to Heller, Ruthless Records hired Israeli bodyguards to protect the business from Marion "Suge" Knight, who was also allegedly threatening Eazy-E with violence, after Dr. Dre left the record label around 1990. 

In "Ruthless," Jerry Heller claimed that Eazy-E liked the JDL so much, that he planned on doing a movie on the organization. 

During one office visit Suge Knight allegedly paid to Ruthless Records in the Fall of 1990, Knight warned Heller and Eazy-E to get new bodyguards. 

Heller said he hired an Israeli named Mike Klein to head up Ruthless Records' security, since he had a "background in the Israeli security forces." 

"The effect was immediate and extreme," according to Jerry Heller. "Somehow, the Suge Knight camp had Klein checked out and realized they were now dealing with a Mossad motherf**ker who didn't fool around. Suge vanished. His crew vanished. An uneasy calm descended."

According to the FBI, after Eazy-E died from complications related to being infected with the AIDS virus, the death threats continued until at least 1996, against Eazy-E's wife and family. 

The JDL, which has been labeled a domestic terrorist organization, tried the same tactics with Tupac Shakur, but their efforts allegedly failed.

Producer Deezle Breaks Silence On $20 Million Lil Wayne Lawsuit

Rap Daily: Producer Darius "Deezle" Harrison has issued a statement regarding a $20 million dollar lawsuit filed against superstar rapper Lil Wayne, over unpaid royalties. 

Harrison filed the $20 million dollar lawsuit in March of 2011, claiming Lil Wayne, Young Money Records and Cash Money Records owes him unpaid royalties for producing the hit track "Lollipop" from Tha Carter III. 

"After consultation with my team I have decided to make a statement as it relates to the litigation pending against Cash Money and Young Money," Deezle said in a statement. "At this time I am owed a sufficient amount of money and will protect the rights afforded me by the State of New York. My team is of the opinion that the matter will be resolved in a timely fashion."

Deezle's lawsuit claims Lil Wayne's album Tha Carter III, which produced the Grammy Award winning single "Lollipop," has sold over six million copies, generating over $70 million dollars in income. 

The producer also filed a $2.5 million dollar lawsuit over unpaid royalties against Lil Wayne over the hit single "Mrs. Officer," also taken from Tha Carter III.
Deezle, who has won three Grammy Awards, also separated himself from legal Rasheed "Ralo Wonder" Harrison, a former associate who has also levied claims against Young Money and Cash Money Records. 

"Ralo Wonder" issued a statement in regards to the lawsuit, which suggested that Deezle would continue to sue other record labels for royalties as well. 
 
“All you labels and music companies that owe royalties watch out because there’s a monster mixed with a tango bobcat on the loose!” Ralo Wonder said in a statement shortly after Deezle filed the lawsuit in March. 

Deezle distanced himself from Ralo Wonder and his "bobcat" statement.

"Mr. Harrison was terminated from a trial basis management agreement for various indiscretions which include forgery, misrepresentation, and lack of knowledge of the music industry," Deezle said. "At this vital moment in my career it is imperative to have seasoned, educated individuals assisting me in my ventures."

Rapper/singer Lauryn Hill has announced additional dates on her successful "Moving Target: Extended Intimate Playdate Series" tour.

M.O.P. Working On New Material

Rap Daily: M.O.P.'s Lil Fame recently revealed that the Brooklyn Hip-Hop duo is in the studio working on a new album since severing ties with Koch/E1 Entertainment.

The veteran Hip-Hop act has recorded for a number of labels since their first big hit single "How About Some Hardcore," which dropped in 1993. 

Since then, the group has recorded classic albums for labels like Select Records, Relativity Records, Loud Records, Roc-A-Fella Records, G-Unit Records and their last recording home, E1 Records.

M.O.P. has cut ties with E1 and is currently in negotiations for a new recording home. 

"We're recording. Recording, that's normal, that's like bread and water," Lil Fame told AllHipHop.com. "We are going to give one to you soon [an M.O.P. album], but it's gotta be right." 

In the meantime, Lil Fame and Billy Danz have been touring and working on various projects. 

Billy Danz is working on his website WeBuildHits.com, while Lil Fame is preparing a new project titled Fizziology, with Lawrence, Massachusetts rapper Termanology.

"I'm not tripping as far as us [M.O.P.]," Lil Fame said of the new album. "I'm talking about as far as the business gotta be right." 

The group's last major release, 2009's Foundation, was distributed by E1, one of the leading independent record labels in the music business. 

But the deal wasn't right for the experienced rap group.

"We don't want that situation again," Lil Fame said. "We don't want to go back through that. The album [Foundation] was a smoker though."

Rapper Skull Duggery Sentenced To Six Years For Possessing Child Porn

Rap Daily:Former No Limit Records 'soldier' Skull Duggery has been sentenced to six years in prison, after police found violent child pornography on his laptop during a raid, which also yielded guns and drugs. 

According to Baton Rogue newspaper The Advocate, the rapper will begin his prison sentence on May 2nd, after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors on Monday (April 11th).

Police raided the 40-year-old rapper's house in Baton Rogue in September of 2009 and found movies and images depicting the rape and sexual abuse of children on his laptop. 

They also found a cache of guns and marijuana in the rapper's home. 

Skull Duggery, born Andrew Jordan, recorded several albums for No Limit Records before leaving the label in 1999. 

He pleaded guilty to one count of pornography involving juveniles, one count of illegal weapons possession with a dangerous substance.

Man Wanted For Questioning In Magnolia Shorty's Murder

Rap Daily:Investigators may have a substantial lead in the grizzly December 2010 slaying of New Orleans rapper Magnolia Shorty.

Police believe 24-year-old Brandon Singleton may have information about the double slaying and seek him for questioning. 

The 28-year-old female rapper, who was once signed to Cash Money Records, was shot at least 18 times on December 20th 2010 in New Orleans, East.

Magnolia Shorty, born Renetta Lowe and a companion named Jerome Hampton were in the car when an unknown gunman open fired, killing both instantly. 

Cash Money's CEO Bryan "Baby" Williams and superstar rapper Lil Wayne were among the hundreds of mourners who attended Magnolia Shorty's funeral in December.

Rapper Killed With Rare Ammunition

Rapper Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace was shot and killed with a very rare form of ammunition, according to new documents released by the FBI under the Freedom of Information act. 

While most of the information is known,  the FBI documents reveal details into what the agency knew about the case. 

The FBI investigation also stated that a variety Los Angeles Police Department officers, both on and off duty - with gang ties - helped the shooter escape, in addition to stymying the investigation, by not following up on witness reports, or properly documenting witness statements. 

At one point, at least 10 witnesses were ready to provide information, but refused to talk to the LAPD. 

They were willing, however, to talk to the FBI about the murder. The FBI also has uncut video of the shooting 

The documents states that while Death Row was making millions selling records by artists like Tupac, Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound, other associates working for the label were allegedly selling kilos of cocaine for $14,000, which were then re-sold on the East Coast, for $24,000. 

According to the documents, B.I.G. was shot and killed with rounds of Gecko 9mm armor piercing ammunition, which is rarely found in the United States and made in Germany. 

After an anonymous caller tipped other police that an unnamed Mob Piru Bloods gang member was involved, Los Angeles Police Department officers obtained a search warrant and found 9mm guns and more Gecko 9mm rounds. 

The LAPD never conducted ballistic tests and according to documents, more officers were involved in thwarting the investigation, including two of former Chief Parks' "personal recruits."
