Police Offer Jimmy Henchman Informant A Plea In Return For Missing $100K

Rap Daily: A close associate of former rap manager James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond is close to striking a plea deal with prosecutors, according to reports.

According to TheSmokingGun.com, Khalil Abdullah, one of Rosemond's associates and top members in the collective known as the Rosemond organization, is close to making the deal, if he returns a missing $100,000 to the government.

Abdullah allegedly entrusted the $100,000 to an unnamed associate, whom he cannot locate.

In order to receive the plea deal with prosecutors, Abdullah must forfeit the $100,000, which Abdullah allegedly stole from the Rosemond organization, which helped trigger the current federal investigation.

According to an indictment, Abdullah's thieving helped lead to a bigger investigation into the Rosemond organization's trafficking conspiracy.

DEA agents claim that the organization used Federal Express and other overnight couriers to send millions of dollars worth of narcotics and proceeds from New York to the West Coast, and back.

Abdullah, who knew that he was in the process of being indicted for his role in the cocaine distribution conspiracy, was the original person to contact lead prosecutor Todd Kaminsky, with information on the conspiracy.

Abdullah allegedly faxed a letter to prosecutors from a Kinko's on April 25th, where he told agents about of a shipment that was being sent to a recording studio in New York, in a "road case" for music equipment.

When agents seized the road case they found $790,000 in $20 bills, which helped lead Kaminsky to indict the investigation's main target, James Rosemond.

Abdullah, who is facing at least 10 years in prison for his role in distributing the cocaine, is seeking to receive a lesser sentence by testifying.

James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond was apprehended by authorities in New York on June 20th, after being on the run for nearly 2 weeks.

The following day, he appeared in Brooklyn federal court, where he pleaded not guilty to intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice.

Police are also investigating Rosemond involvement in a murder for hire plot that resulted in the death of an associate of 50 Cent named Lowell "Lodi Mack" Fletcher, who was killed last year, for allegedly smacking Rosemond's son during a dispute in March of 2007.

'Tupac' Producers Get The Rights To 'B.M.F.' Movie

Rap Daily: The rise and fall of the infamous drug dealing gang  Black Mafia Family (B.M.F.) will be chronicled in an upcoming movie it was announced today  by producers LT Hutton and David Robinson.

Program Pictures has acquired the motion picture rights to the story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest-T” Flenory, who headed up the drug dealing organization known as the Black Mafia Family.

Prosecutors accused the Flenory brothers of overseeing a drug empire that raked in over $270 million from the late 1980s until October of 2005, when they were sentenced to 30 years in prison each,  for their role in the drug operation.

LT Hutton and David Robinson are the producers behind the upcoming biopic "Tupac," which is slated to begin production later this year.

“We're working closely with Meech and Tammy Cowins to make sure every aspect of the story is done correctly," LT Hutton told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "Over the upcoming months, will be working on getting a script together so we can begin filming as early as next year.”

The Flenory brothers and hundreds of associates in over 10 states, were prosecuted for running the large scale cocaine and money laundering operation.

B.M.F. was active in Detroit, Columbus, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, St. Louis, Greenville and Louisville, Kentucky.

The brothers allegedly masterminded a ring that used hidden compartments and luxury vehicles in stretched limousines to transport drugs and money, while laundering the proceeds through outrageous parties, a Hip-Hop label, a luxury car business, magazines and other businesses.

In total, the DEA seized over 700 kilograms of cocaine, almost $10 million in cash and $5.7 million in assets when members were rounded up in October of 2005.

"Everybody wants to be a part of something, especially black folks," Big Meech said "I can even speak for my brother on this part. We aren't violent guys, that's why are cases are nonviolent. We have had bumps and bruises and issues that come up, but we are about getting money. We grew up poverty stricken. When you grow up in a spot like Detroit that's probably one of the most poorest states in the country besides New Orleans - without a hurricane - we grow up in place like that. We took our show on the road getting money. We lived in a lot of different places and made a lot of friends that we helped along the way. The family just became big, bigger than we both expected."

Diddy Settles Lawsuits From 1999 New York Club Shooting

Rap Daily: The millionaire mogul  cut secret deals with the victims in his high profile 1999 club shooting.
Diddy has settled the civil action lawsuits stemming from a 1999 shooting at Club New York in New York City. According to the NY Post, the Bad Boy mogul quietly struck deals with three clubgoers shot by his accomplice,Jamal “Shyne” Barrow,” who ended up serving nine of his 10-year sentence.
The terms of the settlement are unknown due to confidentiality agreements. But according to former club owner Michael Bergos, the highest paid victim was also the most seriously injured - Natania Reuben - who was cut a check for $1.8 million.
The other two victims were paid $500,000 and $50,000. Insurance companies for Shyne and the club ended up picking up some of the tab, while Diddy paid out of pocket due to his now-defunct insurance handlers.
The original incident occurred on December 27, 1999. Diddy and his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez hit the club with Shyne and bodyguard Anthony “Wolf” Jones. The night took a turn for the worse when they engaged in a brawl with Matthew “Scar” Allen, prompting Shyne to pull out a gun and shoot into the crowd.

According to reports, Sarah L. Jordan resigned after she received numerous complaints for showing Eminem's video "Superman" to her seventh grade students.

Jordan was investigated by police after she showed the video to the group of seventh graders at Sarah W. Gibbons middle school.

She was originally suspended for two weeks with pay but the 48 -year-old reading teacher decided to resign, claiming that she "embarrassed" too many people by showing the controversial video.

Police have dropped their investigation after determining that nothing obscene was shown to the students but Ms. Jordan decided to resign anyway, due to the controversy.

Jimmy Henchman Pleads Not Guilty

Rap Daily: James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond appeared in court yesterday in Brooklyn where he pleaded not guilty to a variety of charges stemming from an indictment accusing the mogul of dealing multiple kilos of cocaine.

Rosemond, who runs Czar Entertainment, was arrested yesterday in New York, after being a fugitive for over two weeks.

Due to his flight risk, a judge denied Rosemond bail and he is currently being housed at the Metropolitan Department Correctional (MDC) Facility in Brooklyn, New York.

When agents arrested him yesterday, Rosemond was carrying five BlackBerries, an iPad, two false drivers licenses and a fake passport, published reports said.

During the arrest, DEA agents found a plane ticket and learned that Rosemond was planning to leave the United States for the Bahamas on June 24th.

According to a new criminal complaint that was unsealed yesterday, Rosemond was dealing drugs as recent as May 11th.

A confidential witness named Winston Harris allowed agents to monitor the mogul's e-mails and even wore a wire during one of their alleged drug deals.

One of the correspondences reportedly shows Rosemond setting up a deal to sell over a kilo of cocaine in Brooklyn, but he couldn't execute the deal, because his car was not working.

Rosemond is accused of being the leader of a large-scale narcotics trafficking organization, that dealt hundreds of kilos of cocaine since at least 2008.

Rosemond's lawyer Jeffery Lichman vowed to fight the charges levied at the rap mogul, who is also being accused of helping to set up the murder of G-Unit associated Lowell "Lodi Mack" Fletcher.

Fletcher was shot and killed in the Bronx, apparently in retaliation for smacking Rosemond's son in March of 2007.

“This indictment was built on the backs of witnesses that have been threatened and bribed by federal prosecutors," Rosemond's lawyer Jeffery Lichtman told The Wall Street Journal. "And I plan to expose all of it. If the government wants a fight, they’re going to get a fight.”

Ironically, James Rosemond is being housed in MDC, the same facility housing convicted murder, Dexter Isaac, who recently came forward with shocking allegations that Rosemond paid him to have Tupac Shakur beaten and robbed in November of 1994.

50 Cent To Appear On Next Detox Single

Rap Daily: After announcing his difficulties with Interscope Records and its CEO Jimmy Iovine last week, superstar 50 Cent has been making the rounds as the topic of numerous headlines and stories.

The rapper recently dropped a new song “Outlaw,” and announced that his new album and headphones will be released this November.

50, who was said to be hard at work on his fifth studio album, said the following on Twitter last week: "I'm sorry to announce I will not be releasing a new album this year if we don't get on the same page.”

“We” meaning 50 and Interscope Records.

Later that day, he tweeted: "Ok f*ck it I'm putting the first song off my new album out tonight.” A few hours later, the song “Outlaw” was released to the world for free, to mostly positive acclaim.

Not long after, 50 and the label ended up meeting to "get on the same page."

On Friday, 50 spoke to MTV News and said "What happens is, there are a lot of people involved in my actual launch, because its three parties; it's Shady, then you got Aftermath, then you got Interscope, and then you got me on my end. So by the time we got to go sit down with Jimmy, we talked a little bit, and then I ended up having to go see Dre, because we had the little issue, the confusion about the Twitter stuff."

The recent meet-up with Dr. Dre produced more than just some common ground for the two titans.

They managed to create, write, and record what is said to be the next single off of Dre’s long-awaited, perpetually in-the-making, album, Detox.

The song, titled “The Psycho” (no relation to Before I Self Destruct’s “Psycho” with Eminem), could be hitting the airwaves any day now, or maybe not, when it comes to Detox, nothing is ever certain.

The most recent announcement regarding 50 came from the man himself when he tweeted on Sunday that his headphones and new album would both be getting released this November.

James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond Arrested

Rap Daily: Music mogul James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond who is at the centre of several serious allegations  was apprehended in New York City today  after a brief foot chase with NYPD.

According to reports, federal agents spotted the Hip-Hop mogul near The W Hotel around Union Street in midtown Manhattan early this morning.

He fled when approached by agents, who caught and tackled him, reports say.

Arresting agents apprehended Rosemond during the foot chase near E. 21st Street.

Rosemond is currently indicted for his role in a massive cocaine conspiracy ring, which allegedly shipped hundreds of kilos of cocaine to studios in New York and sent millions in proceeds to the West coast.

Two of Rosemond's associates have also been charged with the murder of Lowell "Lodi Mack" Fletcher, who was shot and killed in the Bronx.

Rosemond's capture today ended a two week manhunt that started on May 29th, when it was announced that federal agents were seeking him.

Last week, AllHipHop.com broke the news about Rosemond's alleged involvement in the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur, inside The Quad studios in Manhattan.

A convicted murderer and associate of Rosemond's named Dexter Isaac, claimed Rosemond paid him $2,500 to rob Shakur, who was subsequently shot five times.

Lil Boosie Accused Of Threatening D.A.

Rap DailyRapper Lil Boosie  just can not stay out of trouble as he serves a prison sentence for possession of marijuana and fights a first degree murder charge.

Lil Boosie, born Torrance Hatch, is being investigated for threatening East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III.

While Boosie has lyrically attacked Moore on songs in the past, police believed there was a credible threat against the District Attorney, who is leading the investigation into the rapper's possible involvement in as many as five murders

“I can confirm that we received information relative to a credible threat against District Attorney Hillar Moore and the District Attorney’s Office,” State Police spokesman Lt. Doug Cain said

As a result of the investigation into the threat against Moore, Lil Boosie ended up getting caught attempting to smuggle codeine into the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.

According to Louisiana State Penitentiary Warden Burl Cain, Lil Boosie has not been involved in any violent altercations while he has been incarcerated, although he continuously gets into trouble.

“He has a hard time following basic rules,” Warden Burl Cain said. “He’s getting better though.”

Irv Gotti And Ja Rule File Lawsuit

Rap daily: Former Murder Inc. CEO Irv Gotti and rapper Ja Rule have filed a lawsuit against a publishing company they claim illegally represented themselves as administrators of their copyrights.

The lawsuit was filed in the New York Southern District Court for New York and names Richard Kid Music Inc. and Rondo Robinson as defendants in the lawsuit.

Irv Gotti and Ja claim that Rich Kid Music and Robinson owe them over $57,000 in royalties plus punitive damages.

They claim that Rich Kid illegally represented itself as the owner and administrator of several musical compositions on Ja Rule's 2001 album,  Pain Is Love.

Rich Kid illegally executed an unauthorized Copyright Licensing agreement with Universal Music Group Canada and began collecting Irv Gotti and Ja Rule's royalties.

Not only does the lawsuit claim that Rich Kid Music illegally collected the funds, but it further alleges that Irv Gotti and Ja Rule have never even heard of Rich Kid Music, or Rondo Robinson.

Irv Gotti and Ja Rule are suing Rich Kid Music for fraud, conversion and copyright infringement.

The news of the lawsuit comes just a week after Ja Rule surrendered to authorities to start a 2 and a half year prison sentence for attempted possession of the weapon.

The rapper was arrested in July of 2007, after police found a .40 caliber handgun in his Maybach Benz.

Ja Rule pleaded no contest to the offense in December of 2010.

He started his sentence on June 8th.

Jimmy Henchman Ordered The Killing Of 50 Cent's Friend Exclusive

Rap Daily: Two associates of music manager James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond have been charged with the murder of superstar rapper 50 Cent's friend, after he allegedly smacked Rosemond's teenaged son in March of 2007.

Lowell "Lodi Mac" Fletcher was gunned down in September of 2009, shortly after he was released from prison for assaulting Rosemond's son with G-Unit associate, Tony Yayo.

Federal investigators believe that Rosemond hired two men to murder Fletcher inretaliation for the assault on his son, which occurred on West 25th street in Manhattan, just blocks away from Violator Management, which handles the careers of 50 and Tony Yayo.

Henchman's son was wearing a Czar Entertainment shirt and walking to the offices of Rosemond's Czar Entertainment, which is on the same street as Violator's headquarters.

Fletcher along with Tony Yayo were accused of accosting and smacking Rosemond's son.

Fletcher was sentenced to jail time for his role in the assault, while Tony Yayo received probation for harassment charges.

Fletcher was shot and killed in the Bronx, just weeks after he was released from prison.
Now, two men associated with the Rosemond's cocaine dealing operation are accused of carrying out the hit on Fletcher.

Rodney Johnson, 37 and Brian McLeod, 40, were hired by persons known and unknown to murder Fletcher, in exchange for drugs.

The news of the murder charges comes as federal authorities investigate Rosemond, who is currently a fugitive on the run for cocaine distribution charges.

Rosemond is accused of trafficking hundreds-of-kilos of cocaine through various recording studios and using overnight delivery services to ship the proceeds back to the West coast.

Sources also told AllHipHop.com that Rosemond could be hit a RICO charge, due to his alleged ongoing criminal activities over the past 15 years.

Another source told  that Fletcher's murderers could have ties to the Jam Master Jay case.

A number of incidents are being investigated as part of the investigation into Rosemond, who has handled the careers of artists like Groove Theory, Brandy, Gucci Mane and The Game, whom he managed through the most tumultuous period of his career, shortly after his split with 50 Cent's G-Unit.

Game and Rosemond spearheaded the "G-Unot" campaign during the feud, which climaxed with a shooting in front of Hot 97 that left one man from California wounded.

Shortly afterwards, 50 Cent and Game publicly ended their feud, although incidents of violence continued to occur in the years after.

In 2006, Henchman was accused of assaulting a Washington, D.C.  DJ.

In March of 2007, G-Unit cohorts Tony Yayo and an associate named Fletcher, were accused of striking Rosemond's son, who was 14-years-old at the time.

In April of 2007, Tony Yayo's mother's house was sprayed with bullets, although no one was arrested for the incident.

In January of 2008, a house belonging to a road manager associated with 50 Cent was shot up and firebombed, as well, just one day before Yayo's court appearance over the assault.

In May of 2008, a Dix Hills, Long Island mansion that was the center of a dispute between 50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins burnt down, with Tompkins, 50 Cent's son Marquis and four other people inside.

In a previous interview, before the murder charges were unsealed, Violator CEO Chris Lighty spoke about the drug case relating to Henchman.

"I can't really worry about what's happening in his world," Chris Lighty told AllHipHop.com. "I can only worry about what's happening in mine....no real comment. Nobody wishes the feds on anybody because they're ugly beasts. It is what it is."

Rick Ross Praises Tupac At 40th Celebration

Rap Daily:Rapper Rick Ross expressed his love for Tupac Shakur at a birthday celebration in Stone Mountain, GA, stating the rapper was a unique role model for a generation that looked up to the deceased star.

The event, held at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation (TASF) for a 40th birthday celebration for Tupac,  featured Meek Mill, Bun B, Warren G, Too Short, jazz singer/producer Roy Ayers and Erykah Badu.

"For a lot of lil' dudes in a single parent home [like me] with my mother, Tupac played father for a lot of dudes like me," Rick Ross said to the crowd at the event. "Tupac was the first one that showed me how to be fully committed. I took [aspect of him like] his [loyalty], to his hard work, his ethic, his family with me."

The Miami rapper also stressed the impact Tupac has had on the youth growing up.

Ross continued, "When we talk about his record sales, let's not forget the role he played to all the little Black boys around the world."

Erykah Badu also commented on Tupac at the gala.
"My first reaction to Tupac was he's not a rapper, he's not an actor, he's a savior of sorts. But he came at a time when people weren't looking for a savior, they were looking for someone who looked like them," she said. "But saviors, sometimes are just doing the work, they are just doing their job."

Then, the eccentric singer proceeded to speak, then sing a song, "Soldier," in dedication to Afeni Shakur.

During her performance, Badu's microphone audio was cut, for reason unknown, causing some confusion.  "I want this to end the way it was meant, with peace," Badu concluded with a raised fist.

Comedian Mike Epps served as the Master of Ceremonies and he also presented Afeni Shakur with a $10,000 check for TASF. About 500 people attended the celebration.
